Postpartum Mental Health
PMADs are the most common complication of pregnancy and postpartum, yet many go undetected in clinical and community settings. For professionals working with expectant or new parents, recognizing the signs—beyond the stereotypical “postpartum depression” picture—is essential. Heather provides evidence-informed guidance on identifying, screening, and supporting clients experiencing PMADs, helping professionals respond with confidence, compassion, and appropriate referrals.
The Mental Load, Invisible Labor, & Relationship Strain After Children
The arrival of a child often brings joy and connection—but it can also expose cracks in relationships and leave parents feeling overburdened, unseen, or resentful. For professionals, understanding the impact of the mental load and invisible labor is key to supporting families in this transition. Heather explores the emotional and relational dynamics at play, the signs of strain, and practical strategies to help clients foster healthier communication, shared responsibility, and mutual respect.
Reproductive Mental Health
Infertility is not just a medical journey—it’s an emotional one. The uncertainty, isolation, and repeated cycles of hope and disappointment can take a profound toll on mental health. Heather offers compassionate, evidence-informed insight into the psychological impact of infertility, helping audiences understand the emotional weight, break down stigma, and explore strategies for resilience and support along the way.
